Dental Hygiene & Gum Health

At Hartley, we know that prevention of dental problems is the most important part of your care.

Patients see a hygienist at least twice a year. Dean & Janie will treat, advise, and support you through the steps you need to take to reach and maintain good oral hygiene.

Prevention includes:

  • Oral health guidance and advice.

  • Scale, polish, and EMS Air Flow.

  • Fluoride applications.

Gum Health:

Some patients have more serious gum conditions, such as periodontal disease, making hygienist care very important. Our hygiene team will treat you, monitor your condition, and give you guidance on what you can do at home to improve or maintain your health.

Implant maintenance:

It may be necessary to have more frequent visits to see the hygienist if you have an implant, to help ensure its longevity and to monitor the surrounding gum areas.

Dean & Janie will arm you with knowledge and will recommend the tools that you need in order to maintain good gum health for life!
